How accessible Raven Quay is
We want everyone who is old enough to use Raven Quay to be able to enjoy it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What works well
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus and a “Skip to content” link.
- On game pages, Space plays a round and − / + change the stake; game results are announced to screen readers.
- Text has at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background, and the layout works when zoomed to 400%.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, reels, wheels and drops show their result without spinning.
- Forms label every field and explain errors in words next to the field.
What we know is not perfect
- Scratch cards are designed for dragging; the “Reveal all” button gives the same result for anyone who cannot or would rather not drag.
- The roulette table is dense on small screens. Each spot is a labelled button, and zooming the page helps.
- Symbol artwork on the reels is described by name, but the animation itself is visual.
Tell us about a problem
If something does not work for you, please write to hello@ravenquay.co.uk or use the contact form, and say which page and what device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five working days.
How we test
We check pages with keyboard-only use, a screen reader, browser zoom and automated contrast checks whenever we add a game or change a page. This statement was last reviewed on 12 October 2026.
