How the games work
Every game on Raven Quay was designed for this site. This page explains, in plain words, how a round is decided and what we deliberately left out.
Where results come from
When you press the main button, your browser asks its built-in cryptographic random number generator — the same one used for secure connections — for fresh numbers. Those numbers decide the round: which symbols land, where the wheel stops, which crates leak, which cards come out of the shoe. The result is fixed at that moment; the animation that follows only shows it.
Every round stands alone
A game has no memory of what happened before. A quiet run does not make a good round more likely, and a good round does not make the next one less likely. Nothing is ever “due”, and no game changes its behaviour depending on your balance, your rank, the time of day or whether you are a member or a guest.
Same rules for everyone
Demo mode and member play use exactly the same maths. Crew ranks only affect Lamp Room feathers. Every visitor — and every search engine or ad reviewer — gets the same pages and the same games.
What the paytables tell you
Each game page has a Paytable tab with every symbol, segment or bet and what it returns as a multiple of your stake. Reel games show each symbol's line returns, scatter returns and how the bonus round works. Quick games show the chance of each outcome where that is the clearer way to put it.
Mood badges
Calm, Steady, Lively and Wild describe volatility: how often a game hands something back and how large the larger moments are. Over a very long run, every game hands back a little less than is played, as games of this kind do — but feathers have no cash value, so none of this is about getting anything out of the site.
What we left out on purpose
- No autoplay and no turbo. Each round needs a press, including each bonus spin.
- No near-miss tricks. Reels are not slowed to tease a symbol, and the Lamp Room never shows the crates you did not pick.
- No disguised losses. When a round hands back less than you staked, the game says “Back 12 of 20”, not a celebration.
- No purchases. There is no shop, no checkout and no in-app purchases anywhere.
- No invented players. There are no scrolling feeds or tables of other people's results.
Real-money gambling is different
Raven Quay is for entertainment only. Playing here, or doing well here, does not imply future success at real-money gambling. If you are ever worried about gambling, the responsible play page lists free UK support.
