Inside the Lamp Room: free feathers with no deadlines attached
The Lamp Room is where members pick up free feathers on the house. We built it around one rule: nothing in it should ever hurry you.
Plenty of games use clocks to bring people back — a reward that disappears at midnight, a streak that breaks if you miss a day, a countdown in the corner of the screen. We decided early on that Raven Quay would not do any of that.
What is in the room
The Lens Wheel turns once and lands on a handful of feathers. The Crate Drop asks you to pick one of three sealed crates; only the one you choose is opened, so you never see what you “almost” had. The Tide Gauge fills as you play rounds and has fixed marks along the way, each with a set number of feathers. And the Errands board holds three small tasks, such as playing a few rounds on a classic, that swap out when you collect them.
What is not in it
There is no timer on the page and no reward that expires. The wheel and the crates rest for a while after each use and simply light up again on their own; we do not tell you when, because it does not matter. Your crew rank adds a small boost to Lamp Room feathers, and that boost never touches the maths of the games themselves.
Feathers from the Lamp Room are the same as every other feather: free, for play only, and worth nothing outside Raven Quay.
