Calm, Steady, Lively, Wild: what the badges on our games mean
Every game on the quay carries a small badge. It does not tell you how often you will come out ahead — nothing can — but it does tell you how a game tends to feel.
Two games can return the same share of what is played over a very long run and still feel completely different from one minute to the next. One hands back small amounts often; the other stays quiet for a while and then does something memorable. That difference is called volatility, and it is the only thing our badges describe.
The four badges
Calm games, such as Harbour Fruits and Citrus Wharf, return something on a large share of rounds, usually less than or close to the stake. They suit long, unhurried sessions. Steady games sit in the middle. Lively games have quieter stretches and brighter moments. Wild games, like Kraken Deep and Storm Opal, can go a long time with little happening and have the largest top lines in their paytables.
What the badge is not
It is not a promise and it is not a tip. Every round is independent, nothing is “due”, and a game that has been quiet is no more likely to wake up on the next spin. Feathers have no cash value, so the badge is about how a game feels to play, not about getting anything out of it.
Where to see the numbers
Each game page has a Paytable tab with every symbol and multiple, and a Rules tab that explains every feature in plain words. If you want the plain-English version of how we built and tested the games, the How the games work page has it.
